Forget corny Valentine's Day traditions – here's a chance to show love for your fellow human beings and use the evening to make a difference to some people in real need of support.

We're running one of our biggest singles events to date, Helping Hearts, on Tuesday 14 February at the Fitzroy Town Hall to help tackle urban poverty.

Our event last year was massive and many people missed out on a place for both that night and our large Feed Melbourne singles event at Etihad last year because they left booking till the last minute.

m.a.d.woman events give you a chance to do good while meeting people – they've seen hundreds of couples hook up (resulting in long term relationships and even upcoming weddings!).

This event is for singles aged 25-44 and it's a great chance to meet like-minded singles for friendship or more as well as making a difference to a lot of people who could use help.
Participants will get a chance to find friendship or even love while making care packages while creating care packs, kids' activity kits and other practical gifts for people supported by charities including Whitelion, Concern Australia and the St Kilda Gatehouse.
Part profits will go to the Five in Five campaign which supports all three charities.

Meet like-minded singles for friendship or more on Thursday 8 March 2012 at the Fare Share kitchen making hundreds of meals for Melbourne's hungry and homeless. No cooking skills needed...just bring yourself, an apron and cap. This facilitated event includes light supper, has limited spots and tickets must be pre-purchased.
Half the funds are donated to Fare Share from this event.

Private and Small Group Brazilian Samba Dance Classes with Lia!!!

Learn to Samba - Brazilian Carnival Style in a few classes with one-on-one or small group tuition with Samba Instructor Lia Muniz.

With private lessons, students work one-on-one with Lia, receiving personalised instruction and immediate correction. Students find they progress faster and easier in a private or small group class environment.

Enjoy learning Samba with other like-minded single professionals. Samba dancing is easy to learn and you will pick it up quickly. The walks are in the inner city Melbourne, covering art galleries and other interesting shops over a short walk.

We walk in suburban areas where the galleries are located.
Some walks are purely social walks, not related to art, i.e. parks, gardens, beaches, etc, this is to break up the walks so that everyone can come along.

Walks are typically a few city blocks - not designed for exercise - but for education and socializing.

The walks are ideal for those who want stimulating conversation and company with like minds.

The walks are also ideal for those who see art, parks, gardens, and beachside areas, as both culture and investment for their future.

Since the walks are during the daytime, think of the weather and wear comfortable smart clothing, proper footwear, and bring a small bottle of water.

Do we have other events? Yes, we do have some socials that are designed to help people meet over a coffee or tea and an open discussion. The walks are amazingly successful, you'd be surprised at how easy it is to meet people at a walk event.
